Who is the SEPAC?

The Duxbury Special Education Parents Advisory Council is a positive, solutions oriented,
group of volunteer parents.  We offer a broad range of information, contacts, and networking
opportunities.

Our membership is open to parents (or guardians) of children with special needs and
anyone interested in special needs education in Duxbury. We are parents with children who
have learning differences.  We have monthly educational presentations on a variety of
relevant topics.

How We Can Help?
About Us
Duxbury Special Education
Parent Advisory Council
upport:      Families should never feel alone.  The SEPAC understands daily
struggles that families have and the need to talk through concerns.
For this reason, we have implemented the Mentoring Program.

ducate:     The SEPAC provides parents with the tools, resources, and information
that they need to navigate and effectively participate in the Special
              Education process.

arents:      The SEPAC is a volunteer parent’s organization focused on helping
parents of special needs children.  The events and programs we offer
are a direct result of parent input and feedback.

dvocate:    Although we do not represent each family individually, our role is to
represent the collective voice of our parents to the School District.  We
are heard at multiple tiers within the school district and work with and
              provide input to school administrators.

ommunity:  As a result of the good work being done through the SEPAC, parents
with the Special Education Department have entered into community to
accomplish great things.  With our increasing membership, we have a
great opportunity to positively impact our children’s development.
